Complete Care ER in San Antonio at Brooks City Base is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to join our freestanding emergency room team. You will welcome patients, complete check-in and registration, verify eligibility, and support front desk operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and empathy as you interact with patients and families during emergencies.

San Antonio- Brooks City Base, Texas

Job Type:

Full-Time Nights

Shifts:

7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Shift Commitment:

Must be able to work night shifts.

Pay Rate:

Based on Experience plus Shift Differentials

Complete Care ER is hiring experienced Patient Access Specialists for our Brooks City Base, TX freestanding emergency room locations. This role supports patient registration, insurance verification, and medical front desk operations .You will be the first point of contact for patients seeking emergency care, and your work directly impacts patient experience and care quality.

What You Will Do

• Welcome patients and complete check in, registration, and front desk duties
• Complete medical insurance verification, eligibility checks, and demographic entry
• Communicate with patients and families during high stress situations
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR or EPM system
• Coordinate paperwork and collaborate with clinical teams for smooth patient flow
• Manage phone calls, patient questions, and follow up needs
• Maintain a professional, organized front desk environment

Required Experience

• 1-2 years of medical insurance verification experience
• Two to three years of medical customer service or front desk experience
• Experience with EMR or EPM systems and MS Office
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association within sixty days
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be flexible for night weekends and holidays
• Strong communication and active listening skills
• Comfortable working in a fast paced emergency room environment
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
