Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a patient registration clerk to accurately register patients, verify benefits, and collect co-pays while supporting a courteous, efficient patient experience. You will work with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure complete and correct demographic and insurance information is captured in the Electronic Medical Record system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year experience in healthcare setting or customer service preferred.
• Strong customer service, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills required.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately and efficiently to ensure data integrity and smooth claims processing.
• Verify benefits and insurance information for patient encounters.
• Collect co-pays and ensure compliance with payer requirements and referral/precertification processes.
• Communicate professionally with patients, physicians, and staff; maintain courteous, helpful service.
• Scan and attach required forms to the Electronic Medical Record; assist in chart follow-up as needed.
