Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Registration Clerk to accurately and professionally register patients, verify demographics and insurance, and support claims processing in a fast-paced hospital setting in Hamilton Township, NJ. You will follow payor guidelines, obtain referrals and authorizations, and ensure data quality in the EMR while delivering exceptional customer service.

Minimum one year in healthcare or customer service, high school diploma, and solid communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• One year experience in healthcare setting or customer service.
• Medical terminology and medical insurance knowledge preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately, efficiently and professionally to ensure database integrity and facilitate claims processing.
• Performs verification of benefits on all patient encounters.
• Obtains all necessary signatures and ensures insurance information is verified and referrals/authorizations are obtained.
• Scans essential registration forms into the EMR and conducts chart follow-up as needed.
• Works collaboratively with departments to obtain essential registration information for reimbursement and patient satisfaction.
