Job summary

DHR Health is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to join our Radiology department on a PRN, day shift. You will register patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and explain charges.

The role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate in English, with Spanish language ability preferred. Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians and office staff, processing registrations, and ensuring HIPAA confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; Spanish helpful.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Willingness to cross-train to other areas.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with registration systems.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic information for accurate records.
• Explain procedures and charges to patients and answer questions.
• Process registrations and pre-registrations for hospital and offsite locations.
• Coordinate with doctors’ offices to obtain orders when needed.
• Verify insurance and benefit information; determine financial responsibilities.
• Handle cash, collect payments, and reconcile cash drawers daily.
