This role emphasizes the AIDET approach, teamwork, and cross-training across registration areas to ensure smooth patient flow and coverage during varying volumes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service skills and empathy with patients.
• Experience navigating hospital registration software is a plus.
• Excellent communication and data entry abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients/families to collect accurate financial and demographic data.
• Verify insurance via online eligibility and minimize denials.
• Estimate patient liability for outpatient exams and determine responsibility for others.
• Scan documents and obtain signatures; complete payer forms.
• Greet and assist patients following AIDET; protect patient confidentiality.
• Provide wheelchair assistance and transport as needed.
• Cross-train to other Registration areas for coverage.
• Relocate to other locations as needed based on patient volumes.
• Attend department meetings and adhere to policies.
