Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Fort Thomas, KY, is hiring a PRN Registration Clerk to support patient flow and billing processes. You will interview patients, verify insurance, estimate charges for outpatient visits, and collect balances while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.

You will also scan documents, complete required forms, assist with mobility needs, and cross-train across registration areas as needed to ensure smooth operations during fluctuating patient volumes.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of excellent customer service.
• Must be able to navigate computer systems (EPIC, MS Office, registration systems).
• Good typing and data entry skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the public.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients or families to obtain accurate financial and demographic information.
• Verifies insurance coverage to minimize denials.
• Estimates patient liability for outpatient exams and determines charges.
• Collects payments due from patients and documents transactions.
• Scans documents and obtains necessary signatures.
• Completes forms required by government or other payers.
• Greets and assists patients while maintaining confidentiality per AIDET principles.
• Provides wheelchair assistance and helps with transport as needed.
• Cross-trains to other registration areas and relocates per patient volume.
