Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is hiring a Patient Access Representative in Addison, IL. The role involves in-person and online patient registrations, data collection, and coordination with the revenue cycle team to ensure accurate billing.

You will handle cash collection, insurance verification, and patient inquiries in a fast-paced environment. The position offers full-time hours, M-F with rotating Saturdays, and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred Associate degree in business/healthcare.
• Proficiency in health insurance basics and medical terminology.
• Experience in healthcare registration, scheduling or patient accounts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-registrations, registrations, order management and cash collection for in-patient, out-patient, ER and same-day surgery patients.
• Collect, analyze and record demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data and obtain signatures as needed.
• Screen for third-party eligibility and enter medical necessity coding to ensure accurate payment.
