Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative in Addison, IL. This position involves handling pre-registrations, registrations, order management and charge capture for in-patient, out-patient and ER cases, with emphasis on accurate data and efficient cash collection.

The role requires 1–2 years in healthcare registration, strong data entry, knowledge of health insurance processes and the ability to communicate in a patient-focused manner. Per diem and per-need hours expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections or customer service in healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology and anatomy beneficial.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite recommended.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture and cash collection for in-patient, out-patient, ER and same-day surgery patients.
• Collect, analyze and record demographic, insurance/financial and clinical data from multiple sources; obtain signatures as needed.
• Screen for third-party eligibility and enter medical necessity coding to ensure accurate payment.
