Job summary

Stanford Medicine Children’s Health in Palo Alto, CA seeks a Supervisor of Patient Admitting Services in Main Admitting. Reporting to the Manager, you will supervise PAS staff, manage daily admissions workflows, and ensure accuracy of the MDS and required documents.

You will lead process improvements, perform quality reviews, coordinate with clinical units, and support compliance with Joint Commission, HIPAA, and other standards while guiding limited-scope projects.

Qualifications

• Education and experience required as stated: Associate's degree and five years of progressively responsible related work experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems.
• Ability to solve problems and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with compliance standards (Joint Commission, HIPAA) and hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities and workflows of Patient Admitting Services staff.
• Manage admissions/registration processes and ensure completeness and accuracy of data.
• Coordinate with hospital units and departments to streamline admitting processes.
• Provide leadership for limited-scope projects and training initiatives in the context of patient admissions.
