Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Prefer one year of hospital or clinic revenue cycle experience.
• Basic computer skills and medical terminology knowledge.
• Medical terminology may be learned through SEH training within orientation.

Responsibilities

• Interviews and collects information to register or admit patients.
• Obtains signatures for treatment and reimbursement.
• Collects billing information and ensures pre-authorizations are obtained.
• Discharges patients after treatment; maintains medical records.
• Verifies third party payer coverage and collects self-pay balances.
• Provides scheduling or enrollment for services; handles inquiries.
• Acts as first point of contact for clients by phone or in person.
• Performs transcription of basic orders for patient accounts.
