Job summary

La Clínica del Pueblo in Hyattsville, MD seeks a Patient Access Representative I (PAR I) to serve as the primary contact for the organization’s Contact Center. You will schedule clinical and mental health appointments, verify insurance, and assist patients with pre-registration and portal access.

The PAR I must deliver outstanding customer service, handle high call volumes, and maintain sensitive patient information with strict confidentiality in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• One year of exceptional customer service and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Experience with insurance verification and benefits eligibility.
• Ability to follow La Clinica’s SOPs and Scheduling Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and schedule appointments for clinical and mental health services.
• Assist with pre-registration and insurance verification in the front office.
• Process patient payments and provide educational materials.
• Direct patients to the patient portal and manage referrals and documentation.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
