Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking a Patient Access Specialist in Webster, TX. Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and no experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the role may be considered for this position.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting and/or high-volume call center environment preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to schedule appointments.
• Proficiency with patient information systems and accurate data entry when preregistering patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides high level customer service for 24/7 Call Center operations.
• Answers high volume calls, assists callers with scheduling appointments.
• Maintains professional communication and empathetic voice with callers.
• Triages caller needs and directs to appropriate UTMB departments.
