Job summary

PRISM Vision Group is seeking a Patient Services Representative in Washington, DC. This full-time, non-exempt role supports the Retina Group of Washington and coordinates patient access from scheduling to follow-up care.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Graduate or GED.
  • Experience: 2+ years in a patient-facing healthcare or customer service role preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and HIPAA/compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and complete full patient registrations for appointments with accuracy.
  • Perform pre-registration and verify demographic and insurance data.
  • Verify insurance, benefits, and referrals; collect financial information as needed.
  • Identify and resolve issues to ensure smooth patient flow and care access.
  • Provide information on appointments, policies, fees, and payment options.
  • Assist with upfront financial counseling and payment plans.
  • Train and support other PSR staff and uphold policies.
