Riverside Health in Newport News, VA seeks an experienced front desk associate to support patient intake, scheduling, and registration. You will welcome patients, verify insurance, collect payments, and manage appointments with a focus on accuracy and courtesy.

Strong communication, basic computer skills, and a year of medical office experience are preferred. This role involves interacting with patients and many departments to ensure smooth visits.

Competenze

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Experience: 1 year in a medical office preferred.
• Experience with patient registration software is a plus.

Mansioni

• Check in and check out patients and verify insurance eligibility.
• Maintain patient demographics in the registration system.
• Greet patients and handle multi-line phone inquiries.
• Schedule/reschedule appointments and create referrals.
• Prepare visit-related documents and patient charts.
• Collect payments for appointments and balances as needed.
• Promote Riverside Care Difference through customer service.
• Assist with referrals and insurance authorizations when required.
• Keep reception area clean and participate in team huddles.
