Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general business operations, scheduling, insurance, and coding.
• Ability to prepare complex written materials such as letters of medical necessity and insurance payment appeals.
• Basic medical terminology and computer basics required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all patient care procedures via telephone and direct contact for hospital-based exams and procedures.
• Review and maintain patient care information and medical/insurance files.
• Distribute files per departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform other job functions as assigned or requested.
