The role handles incoming calls, schedules intake appointments, and collects insurance details. Responsibilities include performing insurance verifications, identifying amounts due, locating funding sources for uninsured patients, and coordinating AHCCCS screening and enrollment referrals with specialists.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify demographic information.
• Create and maintain patient electronic charts.
• Answer clinic calls and route as needed.
• Schedule intake appointments within established timeframes.
• Obtain demographic information such as name, address, phone, email, and insurance details.
• Complete insurance verifications for each patient visit and identify amounts due.
• Identify funding sources for uninsured patients and refer AHCCCS screening/applications to the enrolment specialist.
• Notify clinical team when registration is complete and schedule follow-ups as indicated.
