Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a scheduling coordinator to act as the central point of contact for patients, physicians, and staff. The role involves handling complex scheduling requests across channels and using EPIC to communicate with clinicians daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or Healthcare preferred.
• 2 years experience in customer service required.
• General experience in a physician practice or call center environment preferred.
• General experience and prior knowledge in scheduling for physician office or radiology preferred.
• General experience and knowledge working in an EMR system preferred.
• General experience communicating in Spanish or other languages (Bilingual) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the single point of contact to internal and external customers to ensure access to physicians, employees, patients, programs and services.
• Handles complex scheduling requests through various channels following established protocols and verification portals.
• Communicates via EPIC to physicians and staff on a daily basis.
• Provides appropriate and relevant information and facilitates requests within designated timeframes based on urgency.
• Ensures compliance and integrity in all scheduling activities.
