Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Healthcare industry knowledge preferred.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology ICD-10 and CPT Coding.
• Ability to build productive internal and external working relationships.
• Basic analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle challenging customers in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients and manage registrations for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care.
• Perform pre-certification and verification of benefits with insurers.
• Explain hospital policies and financial responsibilities; obtain required signatures.
• Enter demographic and financial data into EPIC accurately and timely.
• Determine estimated patient financial responsibility and self-pay portions.
• Coordinate communication among physicians, nursing, staff, and Patient Access.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
