Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Patient Services Representative at Ghent Station Medical Office Building in Norfolk, VA. You will register patients, verify demographics and insurance, schedule appointments, and manage billing processes with a focus on superb service.

You will collaborate with care teams, assist patients with MyChart and referrals, and support multiple locations as needed in a busy community clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Prior experience in patient registration/healthcare (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary point of contact between patients and physician practices.
• Greets patients and community with respectful, clear communication and strong customer service.
• Schedules patients, enters information into scheduling systems in a timely manner.
• Verifies demographics and insurance information during registration.
• Processes admissions paperwork and collects patient payments.
• Reconciles cash drawer and handles revenue cycle tasks.
• Manages referrals, MyChart access, and online scheduling as needed.
