Bon Secours in Harrisonburg is seeking a Patient Services Representative for Occupational Health at our Urgent Care location. You will be the main point of contact for patients, handling registrations, scheduling, and explaining financial options to patients and their families.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and basic computer skills, with knowledge of medical billing and terminology. A High School diploma is required; an Associates degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing procedures required.
• Medical office software experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic ICD-9/CPT coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and the community with professional, respectful service.
• Process admission paperwork and basic insurance verification for billing.
• Answer internal and external calls in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly to maintain smooth operations.
• Coordinate patient flow, scheduling, and referrals as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
