Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
• Two (2) years medical office or medical insurance experience.
• Clear, courteous communication with good grammar and tone.
• Excellent customer service and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and multiple applications.
• Able to type 25 words per minute.
• Scheduling or hospital registration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patient electronic scheduling and registration.
• Coordinate schedules for patients and providers; work with staff to optimize patient flow.
• Confirm eligibility, benefits, and collect co-pays; obtain authorizations when assigned.
• Communicate patient out-of-pocket responsibilities in a clear, patient-friendly manner.
• Perform registration tasks and ensure accurate demographic data and insurance details.
• Schedule appointments, monitor access issues, and assist with patient satisfaction initiatives.
