Valley Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative in Inwood, WV, to serve as the first contact for patients, ensuring a high-quality experience across in-person and phone interactions. You will support the ambulatory care team with scheduling, registration, and financial interactions, while upholding confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires at least a High School diploma with 1 year of relevant experience; an Associate degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong computer, customer service and communication skills required.
• Ability to prioritize work.
• Ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations required.
• Interpersonal skills to work with diverse people within and outside organization required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient appointments following clinic guidelines.
• Greet patients and manage front desk interactions.
• Collect demographic and financial information during registration.
• Process referrals and appointment reminders.
• Assist with insurance eligibility and verification in Epic.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and payments.
