Job summary

Ocean Beach Health is seeking a Healthcare Access Associate to be the first point of contact across clinics, hospital departments, and rehabilitation services. You will register patients, schedule visits, verify insurance, coordinate authorizations, and provide responsive customer service.

This full-time role supports providers and staff by managing registrations, handling calls, and ensuring documentation is complete before visits, with responsibilities across OBH locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Public contact or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• CPR/BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and communicate wait times.
• Register patients for visits, admissions and imaging/lab services.
• Verify and update demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments across clinics.
• Answer phones, route inquiries, and manage correspondence.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and documentation per workflow.
