Qualifications

• Two years hospital collections experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient demographic and insurance information into the EHR.
• Schedules, cancels, and reschedules all patient appointments.
• Completes pre-registration, verifies insurance, referrals, and medical records.
• Takes messages and ensures timely delivery of information.
• Scans insurance benefits and authorization information into the EHR daily.
• Provides courteous phone-based customer service to patients and providers.
• Collects co-pays or coinsurance to appropriate accounts.
• Supports hospital mission, vision, values, policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
