Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduation or GED required.
• Knowledge of multiple insurance authorization requirements.
• 1-2 year hospital environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Routinely schedules tests and procedure cases for all patients and coordinates with departments.
• Ensures accurate patient demographics and insurance authorizations are entered into the system.
• Notifies departments of services requiring equipment or supplies from outside vendors.
• Prepares and distributes the surgical schedule and on-call list to the appropriate departments.
