Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute in Chesterton, IN is seeking a Patient Access Manager to lead daily patient access and medical secretary operations, coordinating scheduling, registration, and communications to improve the patient experience.

The role directs facility-based staff, plans on-call rosters, oversees PTO and timekeeping, supports E-Prescribing and clinic workflows, and collaborates across departments to ensure smooth front-desk functions across Lakeshore's northwest Indiana

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's or associate degree in related field preferred.

Mansioni

• Review on-call calendars and daily provider schedules; distribute to stakeholders.
• Create weekly schedules for medical secretaries, New Patient Registration, and Switchboard.
• Manage medical secretaries' schedules including PTO, transfers and vacancies.
• Manage payroll by reviewing timecards and making necessary changes.
• Coordinate coverage between registration and medical secretaries.
• Compile weekly New Patient Distribution reports for Exec. Admin.
• Draft “No See” letters as needed.
• Monitor calls for medical secretaries and New Patient Registration.
• Assist with schedule planning and template updates to keep the No Clinic schedule current.
• Assist providers with E-Prescribing and review clinic drives.
• Cover providers when employees are out of the office.
• Support Medical Secretaries, NP Reg and Switchboard on issues and questions.
• Conduct interviews and ensure new hires are trained correctly.
• Set up portals for MCD, Inspect, Cover my meds and Availity for new staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
