Job summary

OHSU is seeking a Intake Center Coordinator to streamline patient access within the Ambulatory Clinics. This role serves as the primary contact for patients, families, and providers, ensuring smooth scheduling and coordinated care across departments.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in a medical office with direct patient contact, strong computer skills, and excellent communication to support a high-volume, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of medical office experience with direct patient contact.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with scheduling systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new patient scheduling and access through the Intake Center.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance, update Epic, and create records.
• Manage incoming calls, referrals queues, schedule appointments, and triage faxes.
