Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator in Arkansas. In this role you will make patient appointments and reminder calls, greet and register patients, and check them in or out.

You will verify demographic and insurance information and enter it into the patient record. You will collect co-pays, prepare daily deposits and reconciliation reports, relay messages to and from providers, and provide clerical support such as typing, mail, faxes, and ordering supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer skills required.
• Medical terminology skills preferred.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make patient appointments and reminder calls.
• Greet and register and check in or out all patients.
• Verify demographic and insurance information and enter into the system.
• Collect co-pays and other payments and prepare daily deposits and reconciliation reports.
• Relay messages to and from providers and log them appropriately.
• Provide clerical/secretarial support, including typing, sorting mail, processing faxes, and ordering supplies.
