Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a Center Scheduler to coordinate in-house and external medical appointments, ensuring timely patient access and smooth operations.

Responsibilities include generating referrals, preparing documentation, updating the scheduling system, and coordinating transportation and translation services as needed.

Requires at least 2 years in healthcare scheduling, excellent communication, and proficiency with scheduling software; bilingual abilities may be required for certain postings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience scheduling and billing across diverse patient populations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and scheduling or practice management systems.
• Bilingual ability may be required for specific assignments.

Responsibilities

• Generate referrals and schedule in-house and external appointments.
• Prepare and provide documentation for medical appointments.
• Cancel or reschedule appointments and notify patients/families.
• Enter and track all appointments in the scheduling system.
• Complete paperwork related to medical appointments.
• Coordinate referrals for audiology, podiatry, dental, optometry, etc.
• Generate referral forms for PCPs and enter into system.
• Send appointment documentation to PCPs after visits.
• Track diagnostic requests and billing forms as required.
• Communicate professionally with providers, patients, and team.
• Update scheduling system promptly for changes.
• Maintain monthly specialist calendars in PM software.
• Provide coverage for other schedulers.
