Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Pre-Services Coordinator to deliver exceptional patient service by scheduling services, registering patients, collecting demographics and preparing estimates.

This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of insurance plans to explain costs; interacts with patients to set up payment plans and financial assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 1–3 years in registration and scheduling; 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications; Epic experience preferred.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Call, schedule, pre-register, explain estimates, and collect on patient accounts.
• Create Medical Record numbers and enter registration information.
• Collect demographic and billing information courteously.
• Explain estimates and coordinate pre-service appointments.
• Interpret orders, schedule and register patients; contact physician when needed.
• Knowledge of insurance plans to provide patient estimates; determine coverage.
• Collect co-pays and patient liabilities; discuss financial assistance and payment plans.
• Ensure compliance and documentation; train/new staff as assigned.
• Maintain scheduling center protocols and quality improvement.
