Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Pre-Services Coordinator to deliver the highest level of customer service to patients. You will schedule services, pre-register, collect demographics, and explain insurance costs and payment options.

Responsibilities include working with scheduling, registration, and billing, ensuring accurate data entry, and addressing patient questions with compassion and clarity. This is a fast-paced, patient-centered role.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in registration and scheduling; 1-3 years customer service experience.
• Epic experience preferred; familiarity with Microsoft Office and web applications.

Responsibilities

• Call, schedule, pre-register, explain estimates, and collect on patient accounts.
• Collaborate in teams to handle call volume and manage call queues.
• Confirms surgery appointment with patient once authorization/certification and estimate are complete.
• Create Medical Record numbers and enter registration information.
• Collect demographic and billing information courteously and professionally.
• Identify issues impacting departmental workflow and provide feedback to management.
• Document medical history as obtained from scheduling to complete patient questionnaires.
• Answer questions regarding preparations for appointments, directions to clinics, and general hospital questions.
• Ensure accuracy, documentation, issues and reschedules following scripts.
• Quality Improvement by staying current on scheduling center protocols.
• Train and coach new staff, as assigned.
