Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience required.

• Medical terminology coursework is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather demographic and clinical information for scheduling and registration.
• Use courteous phone techniques to communicate with patients, physicians and staff.
• Schedule procedures to optimize patient time and resource use.
• Follow revenue cycle procedures and hospital policies as needed.
• Handle insurance pre-certification and authorization coordination.
• Counsel patients on pre-service requirements and instructions.
• Maintain a professional atmosphere for patients and staff.
