Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years previous medical office experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
• Knowledge of filing & office systems.
• Ability to organize work and handle multiple projects/priorities.
• Demonstrates professional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• One year previous pre-certification, registration, billing and collections experience preferred.
• Ability to operate fax, copier, and scanner required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the patient flow, including patient identification, gathering demographic information, securing financial and third party insurance data and entering registration data.
• Verify and pre-cert insurance as necessary.
• Establish patient financial responsibility and assist in resolution through establishment of payment agreement or assist in financial assistance applications.
