North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to support the organization’s financial health by handling insurance information, pre-registering patients, and communicating payment options. You will ensure accurate data entry and HIPAA compliance while coordinating with patients and staff.

Responsibilities include scheduling, pre-certification, collecting demographics and insurance details, and assisting in denials prevention and coordination with payers and hospital

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Registration systems and eligibility checks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and patient confidentiality.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsabilités

• Schedule and pre-register patients for appointments and procedures.
• Verify and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Explain estimates, charity plans, and payment options to patients.
• Assist with front-end denial prevention and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with payers and hospital departments to resolve issues.
• Prepare monthly collection and error reports as requested.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate medical records.
