Job summary

Bayhealth is seeking a Supervisor for the front-end revenue cycle at the Kent Campus Hospital. You will lead front-end functions such as Financial Counseling, Insurance Verification, Scheduling, and Patient Access, acting as a technical expert and mentor to the team.

The role requires a background in Patient Access or Billing in an acute care facility, with a focus on performance metrics, staff development, and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Three years’ experience in Patient Access (or Billing) in an acute care facility.
• Preferred: Prior supervisor experience in Patient Access or Billing.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and role model for staff; oversee daily department activities to ensure productivity.
• Manage patient experience by upholding service standards and addressing escalated issues.
• Oversee account management tasks, including ensuring accurate cash handling and timely collection goals.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, EMTALA, HIPAA, and related requirements.
• Coordinate ongoing training, scheduling, and process improvements to optimize workflow.
