Job Summary

Adventist Health Kailua is seeking a Patient Access Representative for a part‑time regular with 8 hours variable shifts. We are looking for a qualified and dedicated individual who can work onsite at our Kailua, HI location.

Responsibilities

Responsible for timely and accurate patient registration; interviews patients for all pertinent account information; verifies all insurance and calculates and collects patient liability amounts; ensures that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment; answers any questions and explains policies clearly; checks for physician orders and attaches them to the appropriate patient record to ensure correct tests are received; prints and collates any paperwork needed for each patient for distribution to unit/department; escorts patients to their area or refers patients to available escort as needed.

Education and Work Experience

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Essential Functions

• Check for physician orders and attach them to patient medical record to ensure that patients are receiving appropriate tests.
• Choose correct health plan and accurately research to ensure accuracy when verifying insurance. Enter all authorization information accurately as needed.
• Follows guidelines and instructions from senior staff.
• Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
