Job Summary

Adventist Health Kailua is seeking a Patient Access Representative for a full‑time position with 8‑hour day shifts, located onsite at our Kailua, HI location.

Responsibilities

Responsible for timely and accurate patient registration. Interviews patients for all pertinent account information. Verifies all insurance and calculates and collects patient liability amounts. Ensures that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment. Answers questions and explains policies clearly. Checks for physician orders and attaches them to appropriate patient records to ensure correct tests are received. Prints and collates any paperwork needed for each patient for distribution to unit/department. Escorts patients to their area or refers patients to an available escort as needed.

Essential Functions

• Check for physician orders and attach them to patient medical records to ensure patients receive appropriate tests.
• Choose correct health plan and accurately research to ensure accuracy when verifying insurance. Enter all authorization information accurately as needed.
• Follows guidelines and instructions from senior staff.
• Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred.
