Job summary

IHA in Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time Patient Access Representative for the night shift to greet patients, verify information, and register them for service onsite at the Mother/Baby Jefferson Ave location.

Responsibilities include collecting signatures, processing orders, verifying insurance benefits, and routing cases to financial counseling when needed; training is provided during the first two weeks.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience required.
• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within one year of hire.

May provide escort and directional support to patients, family members and visitors.

Status: Part time, 3rd shift

16 hours/week

Wk 1: Friday 11p-7a, Saturday 11p-7a

Wk 2: Sunday 11p-7a, Monday 11p-7a

Training:

The first two weeks of training are M-F, 8a-430pm must be able to attend this*

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience, required

Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

Medical terminology required & knowledge of diagnostic & procedural coding Insurance verification with the ability to explain benefits, secure necessary authorizations
