Baptist Health's Baptist Oakleaf division is seeking a Patient Access Representative II to join our patient access team in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time role runs Thursday through Saturday, 6:45am to 7:15pm, working across multiple patient access areas to ensure smooth registrations and service excellence.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years of customer service, healthcare, and insurance experience, plus a high school diploma, and are committed to HIPAA privacy and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilizes multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

This is a full-time opportunity, Thursday - Saturday, 6:45am - 7:15pm.

Patient Access Representative II, Job Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
