Job summary

SouthCoast Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the General Surgery location in Wareham, MA. This role supports patient flow by check-in/out, pre-registration, and scheduling while delivering excellent customer service.

The position requires a high school diploma, strong typing and computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior medical office experience is preferred, and vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 is required or an approved exemption

Qualifications

• Good organizational skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment is required.
• One year of medical office practice experience or graduation from a medical secretary program or the equivalent is preferred.

• Greet patients, answer and triage telephone calls.
• Perform various clerical and administrative tasks.
• May cover different offices as needed or directed.

We are searching for a talented Patient Access Rep

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift; 08:00am - 08:30am flex start

Location: General Surgery – Wareham, MA

Under the supervision and direction of the Practice Coordinator/Manager or designee, check-in and check-out patients at assigned practice(s). Perform various pre-registration functions including scheduling patient visits, tests and surgical procedures. May greet patients, answer and triage telephone calls. Perform various clerical and administrative functions. May cover different offices as needed or directed.

Qualifications

• Equal to the completion of 4 years of high school is required.
• Good computer and typing skills are required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment is required.
• One year of medical office practice experience or graduation from a medical secretary program or the equivalent is preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $18.04 - USD $29.05 /Hr.
