Job summary

Post Falls ER & Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Services Representative to support the Emergency Center’s front desk operations, patient check-in/out, and billing accuracy.

The PSR will handle registrations in the EMR, collect demographics, manage payments, maintain logs, and coordinate with patients, families, and staff to uphold care standards and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PSR in a Hospital/ER/Clinic.
• Experience in medical registration, admitting, and scheduling in an ER setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and direct them to services with a courteous demeanor.
• Collect demographic information and ensure signatures for billing accuracy.
• Handle payments via cash, checks, and credit cards for co-pays and balances.
• Maintain logs of patient information and manage phone inquiries professionally.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the facility, including patient areas and restrooms.
• Interact with patients, families, physicians, and staff upholding the ER's core values.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and participate in performance-improvement activities.
• Support management with additional tasks or projects as assigned.
