Job summary

Logan Health is seeking a patient access specialist to complete registrations, verify demographic and insurance data, and collect payments. You will inform patients of estimated liabilities and refer to financial counseling as needed. This PRN role offers part-time flexibility to cover shifts and support the team.

The position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of insurance concepts. Proficiency with registration systems and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in registration, financial clearance or patient financial services preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient registrations and collect demographic/insurance data.
• Verify authorizations and referrals as required.
• Present estimated patient liabilities and collect payments.
• Identify patients needing financial counseling and refer as necessary.
• Provide administrative support to assigned areas and maintain confidentiality.
