You will register patients, verify insurance, process referrals, and help with billing questions while ensuring HIPAA compliance and compassionate service.

Ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 2+ years healthcare experience, and strong EHR and communication skills; Monday–Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, in-office role with team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in a healthcare or patient access environment.
• Strong working knowledge of EHR systems, insurance verification, and medical terminology.
• Adheres to HIPAA and privacy standards in all communications and record handling.

Responsibilities

• Greets, registers, and checks in patients, ensuring all demographic, insurance, consent, and contact information is accurate and current in the EHR.
• Collects copayments following standard cash-handling and reconciliation procedures.
• Verifies insurance eligibility, obtains required authorizations, and documents results accurately.
• Provides explanations of check-in processes, insurance requirements, and payment expectations.
• Answers calls, schedules appointments, and maintains daily appointment schedules for staff.
