Job summary

Conifer Health, a Tenet ally in Mount Pleasant, SC, seeks a Patient Access representative to support scheduling, registration, and vital pre-admission tasks. You will collect accurate patient demographics, explain financial liabilities, and manage proper payer verifications and authorizations.

Role supports multiple patient access areas including the Emergency Department. Position requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year in a Customer Service role.
• 0–1 year administrative experience in medical facility or related area preferred.
• Some college coursework is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic information, schedule procedures and provide appointment instructions.
• Educate patients on financial liabilities and perform cash handling in accordance with policies.
• Verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and assist with post-discharge scheduling as needed.
