Job summary

Avera Brookings Clinic in Brookings, SD seeks a friendly Registration Specialist to welcome patients and manage the front desk workflow. You will verify insurance, obtain authorizations, collect payments, and ensure accurate data entry in the electronic records system.

Working Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on moving health forward for patients and the community. Previous front-desk experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the hours specified.
• Excellent communication with patients and staff.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients, checks them in and completes registration including demographics, insurance, and service payments.
• Verifies insurance, obtains authorizations, and secures signed consent/waivers as needed.
• Scans pertinent information into patient records.
• Answers calls/messages/faxes and routes them to appropriate teams.
• Maintains computer appointment scheduling and adheres to scheduling policies.
• Coordinates patient flow to expedite care and guides patients to services.
