Baptist Health is seeking a PRN Patient Registration Specialist for the 2nd shift. You will manage pre-registration, registration, payer identification, and at point of service collections, ensuring accurate demographic and benefit data.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in healthcare or business preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in medical or hospital patient access or financial services preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid programs.

Responsabilités

• Handle pre-registration and registration, payer identification and verification.
• Refer to financial counseling and collect at point of service.
• Verify benefits eligibility, coordination of benefits, and patient financial responsibility.
• Understand regulatory requirements (HIPAA, EMTALA, Medicare notices).
• Possibly perform additional duties within scope.
