Vail Health Hospital is seeking a patient access professional to support registration, admissions, and related tasks. Responsibilities include collecting financial paperwork and co-payments, verifying information, and coordinating services to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will greet patients, answer phones, and guide inquiries while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate EMR documentation. A strong service mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service and clerical experience.
• Must have working knowledge of English language.
• Must possess computer skills to complete online learning requirements, access forms and policies, and enroll in benefits.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients and handles all registration-related tasks, including consents and collecting financial paperwork.
• Communicates with patients by phone and in person to assist access to care and respond to inquiries.
• Resolves non-clinical questions while delivering excellent customer service.
• Performs audits for medical necessity and payor requirements using EMR and other systems.
• Schedules procedures, educates patients on pre- and post-exam needs, and sends reminders and recall letters.
• Maintains, scans, and organizes medical records and information.
