Anna Jaques Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative to ensure efficient, welcoming registration and accurate data capture across electronic, telephonic, and in-person touchpoints.

You will handle co-payments, deductibles, and authorizations; verify insurance with real-time eligibility; schedule appointments; and maintain confidentiality while supporting a smooth patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience; experience with computer systems required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with accurate data processing.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; bilingual preferred.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and explain the registration process; respond to patient questions.
• Process payments and reconcile cash drawer daily; assist with Kiosk check-in.
• Complete Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjust coverage.
• Instruct signatures on consent and financial forms; manage documents.
• Counsel patients on non-covered services; obtain ABN signatures.
• Monitor waiting area and ensure smooth registration flow.
• Respond to patient concerns and protect confidentiality.
• Initiate scheduling from multiple sources; manage rescheduling.
• Verify insurance via real-time eligibility; apply guarantor to visits.
• Communicate financial clearance and coordinate with Financial Counseling.

Strong typing 40+wpm

Knowledge of medical terminology
