Job summary

Overlake Medical Center in the Puget Sound region seeks a Patient Access Coordinator to support Medical Imaging operations, including reception, chart preparation, and digital image management. The role requires interviewing patients, collecting demographic and financial data, and entering details into Epic with a focus on accurate registration and excellent service.

Hours reflect 0.8 FTE with pay ranging hourly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal training in medical terminology, hospital finance and customer relations is preferred.
• Previous admission/registration experience or frontline customer contact in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
• Knowledge of insurance financials (HMO/PPO) and programs is highly desired.
• Epic experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support services within Medical Imaging including reception, chart prep, image management and retrieval.
• Greet patients and collect consent forms and paperwork; enter data into Epic.
• Answer phone calls and provide support to leadership, physicians and staff.
• Interview patients for demographic and financial data to complete registration efficiently.
• Explain hospital policies and services to patients and visitors; ensure accurate payments and signatures.
