Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.

Responsibilities

• Collect demographic, billing, and insurance information and enter into the registration/billing systems.
• Obtain pre-certifications and authorizations as required.
• Prepare consent forms and obtain electronic signatures.
• Collect deposits and payments; provide receipts and document transactions.
• Prepare patient armbands for identification.
• Balance daily receipts and cash drawer; follow up on account flags.
• Initiate screenings and gather information for coverage.
• Perform medical necessity checks and complete Advanced Beneficiary Notice as needed.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel patients per hospital workflows.
• Check order completeness and validate against the scheduled service.
